For any of IHN’s old friends,  you are aware that the IHN site has been in flux for the last couple of years as we’ve attempted to combine the various ministries I serve within under one website “umbrella”.   Conceptually this was  intended to make life a bit easier as I’m serving to get the Gospel message out as a singer/songwriter/worship leasder/prison chaplain.  Needless to say, these opportunities to minister keep me on my toes. 

With that said, I’m so very greatful that my sending/home church of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa has begun working with me to host and rebuild this website.  So… expect some changes in the near future and thanks for visiting the site….  Please pray for these ministries.

]]> http://formerlysaul.com/2009/in-his-name-music/feed/ 19 Prison Ministry: Big House Revival http://formerlysaul.com/2009/prison-ministry/ http://formerlysaul.com/2009/prison-ministry/#comments Mon, 21 Dec 2009 22:56:39 +0000 Paul http://formerlysaul.com/?p=44 I have been serving at Corcoran State Prison in the capacity as a volunteer Protestant Chaplain since December of 2008,  located outside of fashionable downtown Corcoran, California..  I serve there roughly every other weekend in A,B,C & G Yards as the facilities schedule will permit.  It is a privilege to minister to the men and staff there,  unfortunately there have been difficulties due to budget cutbacks effecting the services within California’s Prison System.  These cutbacks have  resulted in staff layoffs and as such additional challenges to the ministry since January of 2010. 

During this time God has opened other doors of ministry and since March of 2011, I have been priviledged to serve as a ”Religious Volunteer” at Centinela State Prison in Imperial, California.   Only He knows what he has in store for the future of this ministry.
